Description
Our Client, a large financial institute in Zambia seeks a Director – ICT. Responsible for the development and implementation of the overall IT strategy and service delivery across the Bank by ensuring that the strategy supports the Banks business objectives including ongoing development in response to the fast changing business environment. To ensure the availability of robust IT hardware and software that are supported by modern ICT infrastructure in order to meet the Banks objectives.

Supervision Of: 3 direct and 30 indirect
Interacts With: All Bank operations, Commercial banks, Government, SADC
JOB DESCRIPTION
Formulate and maintain IT governance frameworks and polices aligned with major frameworks and standards in the marketplace.
Develop implementable strategies that align IT plans and technology-related decisions with business strategy to deliver maximum business value.
Develop effective stakeholder communication and engagement strategies to ensure better control over increasing user-initiated and user-controlled IT solutions.
Provide advisory services to the Bank in the area of innovation and emerging digital technologies in order to ensure short-term and long-term sustainable returns on IT investments
Establish and maintain robust enterprise security management, risk management, and up to date business continuity plans for all IT services and systems in line with the overall Banks business continuity management.
Ensure a stable, quality and cost effective IT service delivery across the enterprise application and hardware architectures.
Promote use of shared capabilities, infrastructure and applications to promote scalability and to reduce costs.
Build and manage external-vendor relationships, including participation in contract negotiations, and identify opportunities for outsourcing where possible in consultation with the procurement function.
Promote a continuous IT learning and service improvement culture within the enterprise in order to ensure value creation through effective and innovative use of IT resources
Develop a high performing team by embedding formal performance development, informal coaching and frequent knowledge sharing between team members.

Experience: 10 years
Education Level: Degree
Qualifications: MSc/ MBA in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Software: Job related
Equipment: Data Centres, LAN/WAN/MAN, PCs, Printers and UPS, BCM sites
Knowledge Of: All aspects of Information and Communications Technology. General principles of ICT governance an IT service delivery
Skills To: Sound business ethics to deal with complex issues such as data privacy, computer security, environmental concerns.
Ability To: Strategic management, project management, risk management, change management and people management.
Personality: Excellent interpersonal, communication and Leadership capabilities.
