This position will report to the National Logistics Manager.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Develop, deliver and effective fleet benchmarking analysis, insight & fleet expertise. Monitor utilization, monitor market conditions & develop & implement appropriate initiatives to ensure optimisation of fleet. Fleet maintenance, monitor downtime & provide appropriate action for improvement. Operational support, manage processes & practices for fuel. Ensure goals, SLA & work routines are clear. Effectively manage team & individual performance. Provide on the job training. Fleet performance measure & processes, lean management. Execution planning & schedule control project management, problem solving techniques, planning & organising, sound financial acumen

Skills, Experience & Education

Grade 12, O level with 5 credits or better. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualifications in logistics from a recognized institution 10 years’ work experience in logistics 5 years’ experience in management position Knowledge & understanding of FMCG logistic & fleet systems & processes Good understanding of Road Transport legislation
