IT SUPPORT OFFICER
The IT Officer will support all Caritas Czech Republic staff in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and ensure the smooth IT support in furthering the operation of the office and field activities for staff
Responsibilities:
- Procurement, setting up and servicing of hardware (notebooks, printers, peripheries and accessories)
- Procurement and installation of software and applications, configuration, updates
- Perform basic diagnostic routines
- Develop a maintenance schedule, monitoring, safety-check for all computer hardware, software and networks, and ensure that it is followed
- Management of users (basic, amendments, deleting, password changes, changes of rights)
- Data back-up
- Management of SharePoint
- Support of users (ad hoc troubleshooting)
- Anti-virus installation and management
- Development and maintenance of databases and data applications (e.g. Kobo)
- Providing recommendations when it comes to improving the organisation’s IT systems
- Support the roll-out of new applications;
- Monitoring of the Internet and email usage of organization staff.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of ICT software and licenses
- Provide advice, guidance, training and assistance to staff on developing their use of ICT
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports;
- Researches, suggests, tests and evaluates new technology to support the organization development and implementation of activities;
- Technical support to website and Facebook page management
- Commitment to Caritas vision, mission and values is essential
Requirements
- University/College Education-Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Excellent knowledge of Windows 7/10 and Microsoft Office programs (2010/2016) – professional package
- Experience with the above mentioned tasks
- Experience with functionalities of Office 365 tools (set-up, e-mail, OneDrive)
- Good time management, commitment, team worker, innovative, reliable and hardworking, able to work under pressure
Duty station: Lusaka, Zambia
Working Time: 3 Days a week
