ASA Microfinance Zambia Limited is a non-deposit taking microfinance institution limited by shares incorporated on 22 d August 2014. The company aims at empowering the poor Zambians for the improvement of their socio-economic condition and reduced poverty by the sustainable microfinance program. The company is a subsidiary of ASA international group plc enlisted (premier) in London Stock Exchange. With over 3000 branches in Asia and Africa combined, ASA International has taken keen interest in opening several more branches in Zambia hence the need for a Manager of Internal Audit for the purpose of all internal auditing of the company.

Job Description/Responsibilities

• To finalize the audit reports and deliver to the respective management.
• To ensure timely and effective execution of the audit work and exit meeting with the auditees.
• To carry out Head office audit, 3rd line of defense work and any other assignment assigned by the CGIA regular interval.
• Improve audit plan and internal audit policy/process
• Perform auditing of operations and applies internal audit standards in conducting work.
• Formulate Audit techniques, guidelines and audit Program.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. Preferably Part qualified ZICA/ACCA Technical ability
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in internal Audit, Statutory audit in a large national/multinational Company preferably in a business field.
• Maximum 35 years old.
• Proven Knowledge of Auditing standards and producers, Laws, rules and regulations.
• Must possess team spirit, leadership quality and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to travel and monitor Branch Offices located in the country (at least 15 days in a month).
