People Country Lead

We are seeking to employ a People Country Lead in Zambia who will be responsible for driving People strategies across ZamBrew in conjuction with Africa Zone and local Mancom. The People Country lead acts as the key point of contact between Africa Zone, local Mancom and business partners to lead and support the appropriate balance between Zone/BU organisational needs and local strategies.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• People strategy design and delivery
• Talent Attraction, development, performance and retention
• Industrial and employee relations

The ideal candidate has an excellent track record of building solid relationships and credibility with senior business leaders based on solid commercial understanding and an ability to identify customer needs and go beyond just delivering defined HR solutions.

Qualifications

• A relevant HR or business related degree
• Minimum of 5 years experience in People (HR) or Management experience (FMCG preferred)
• Fluent in English and local BU languages (as required)
• Strong coaching and communication skills
• Stakeholder/ relationship management, analysis and diagnostic investigation
• Knowledge of local labour legislation and experience in labour relations is required
• Demonstrated experience in managing the HR processes related to the end to-end employee life cycle
• A track record of building HR capability, shaping culture and leadership behaviours
• Proven experience in solving strategic business problems with pragmatic solutions
• Credibility, presence and resilience
