Akros is currently recruiting self-driven, creative, problem solvers for the following Lusaka-based roles. Key position requirements are detailed below.
1. Business Development Specialist – Akros is in a rapid scale-up phase, and is seeking aggressive production levels from a BD specialist to support partner engagement and bid coordination and preparation from Lusaka, Zambia. S/he will work under the oversight of Akros’ Regional Director and participate in proposal preparation for both Zambia-specific and regional opportunities, track business development efforts for the organization, and assist with costing preparation and review, as required. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) in public health, informatics or a relevant field. S/he will have at least three years of experience managing proposal preparation for development opportunities. S/he will work under the oversight of Akros’ Regional Director.
2. Informatics Portfolio Lead – Akros is seeking a Portfolio Lead to provide technical, strategic, and programmatic oversight for multiple information systems strengthening projects for health and education. This individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive client relationships, implementing Akros’ standard program management quality assurance procedures, and providing leadership for more junior program managers. S/he will have a Masters degree and at least 4 years working at the managerial level or above.
