VACANCY: Security and Transport Officer
JOB LEVEL: Assistant Manager
LOCATION: Lusaka
JOB PURPOSE
Management of Security of Airtel Zambia Offices, Facilities and Personnel. Responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of the fleet vehicles. Ensure that all transport requirements from the business are met.
REPORTING TO THE HR BUSINESS PARTNERING EMPLOYEE SERVICES MANAGER, THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:
Security
- Interface between Airtel and the Police in all cases
- Participates in the coordination, development and delivery of security awareness and training programs
- Conducts security evaluations/inspection of new/existing building facilities and sites from time to time
- Investigates and reports on security violations and breaches of security and other incidents
- Provide management with security strategy
- Manage security budget
- Ensure that access to building and grounds of the organization is properly managed
- Assist environment and safety officer with coordinating employees in case of safety and security risks
- Work with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure health and safety regulations are in place
- Reporting
Transport
- Receive transport requirements from the business and ensure availability
- Manage the transport service provider to ensure that they have contracts and are offering services as per contract
- Manage the transport budget to ensure that it’s in line with the plan
- Prepare weekly reports and updates on transport in the business
- Ensuring that requisitions for transport are documented appropriately as per company policy
- Coordinate the mileage claim process and work closely with finance to ensure timely payments to claimants
- Ensure usage compliance of leased vehicles
REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- A Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Police Training
- IT literacy
- Able to operate in a performance driven organization
- Communication and coordinating capabilities
- 3 years’ relevant experience
- Security training will be an added advantage
