Description

Archie Hinchcliffe Disability Intervention (AHDI) is a local non-governmental organisation providing early intervention and education to children with disabilities. It collaborates with government and other NGOs in the provision of these services to the children with disabilities, with activities in Lusaka, Southern and Eastern Provinces.

AHDI invites applications from a self-motivated and honest individual to fill the vacancy of a Finance and Administration Officer for a contractual period of one-year renewable depending on performance. S/he should have the ability to handle multi-funding deadlines and reporting needs. An applicant must be willing to undergo a criminal verification exercise as part of AHDI’s child protection policy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare accounts and ensuring compliance of taxation legislation.
  • Administering payroll.
  • Compiling budgets presenting periodic reports and financial statements.
  • Prepare end of year accounts.
  • Work with external auditors.
  • Maintaining fixed asset register
  • Weekly and monthly update of financial books and recording of all transactions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Accountancy, ZICA Licentiate, Level 2 of ACCA, CIMA or CA Zambia
  • Pastel competent
  • Computer literacy
  • Coversant with administrative work
  • Proven competence and able to work with minimum supervision
  • At least 2 years relevant work experience
