Job Overview
The Information Technology (IT) Manager is part of the senior management team. As the leader in the IT department, the IT Manager is responsible for the organizations wide systems and information, the IT Manager will be responsible for the following;
Requirements
1. Good knowledge and experience of microfinance operations and service delivery maintenance
2. At least 5 years of experience in a management position, preferably in microfinance, banking or a related industry
3. Excellent communication and supervisory skills
4. Should have proven track record of accountability and crisis management
5. Good leadership, supervision, analytical skills as well as ability to propose improvements in operational processes and procedures to achieve increased efficiency
Duties and Responsibilities
1.1. Running regular checks on network and data security
1.2. Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
1.3. Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation
1.4. Designing training programs and workshops for staff
1.5. Conducting regular system audits
1.6. Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff
1.7. Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
1.8. Managing and reporting on allocation of IT budget
1.9. Providing direction for IT team members
1.10. Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement
