Action Africa Help International Zambia (AAHZ) is seeking to recruit well qualified, experienced and innovative individuals to fill the following positions tenable at Mantapala Refugee Camp, in Nchelenge, Luapula Province:
1.0 Monitoring & Evaluation Officer/Data Analyst x 1
Position Title: Monitoring & Evaluation Officer/Data Analyst
Position Type: Fixed Term Contract (August to December 2019)
Reports to: Country Programme Manager
Location: Nchelenge
1.1 Job Purpose
To monitor the Cash Based Transfers (CBTs) component of the project, including both the distributor and the beneficiaries, who are the refugees based at Matapala Refugee Camp in Nchelenge, Luapula Province.
1.2 Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitoring of utilization of cash by the beneficiaries
- Working with stakeholders on the remodeled Complaint and Feedback Mechanisms with regard to the CBT
- Providing support to performance evaluation process in collaboration with Donors and the independent evaluation team
- Facilitating development of participatory monitoring and evaluation systems
- Collecting and analyzing data from cash distribution staff in order to measure achievements against the performance indicators
- Developing the overall framework for Projects Performance Monitoring Plan with relevant data collection systems
- Assisting with the preparation of regular reports as per donor requirement.
1.3 Minimum Requirements
- A Diploma in Project Monitoring and Evaluation, or in statistics, demographics, public policy, international development, economics, or any other related field
- At least 2 years practical work experience in Monitoring, Evaluation & Research, preferably in donor funded projects
- Experience in participatory methodologies is an added advantage
1.4 Skills and attributes needed
- Strong analytical and logical ability to monitor the implementation of programme activities
- Provide leadership and support to staff working at community level
- Design and management skills
- Good moderation, facilitation and training skills
- Good computer applications skills.
