Description

Supports the HR Department with URM requisitions, approvals and hires;
Supports the HR Department in the recruitment effort excluding managerial levels and above and helps to coordinate the use of temporary employees;
Supports the HR Department with the placing of ads internally and externally;
Responsible for screening, including the running of appropriate medical, psychometric and other appropriate assessment centers to develop a short list of prospective candidates for specialist hires and volume resourcing;

Responsible for getting the candidates to complete paperwork for verification of information as required including background, qualifications, employment, financial and creditworthiness checks;
Administer pre-employment tests for both medical and operations assessments;
Maintains the Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database as needed, including Recruitment tracker, Talent tracker/ Movements reports;
Responsible for maintaining up-to-date job descriptions that are aligned to business requirements;
Maintains and monitor legally binding service level agreement (SLA) contracts with key external recruitment providers;
Build a database of talented prospective candidates to meet Intl. SOS’s ongoing recruitment requirements;
Maintain a record keeping system for legal, administrative, information and reporting purposes and be able to locate these records, on demand;
Keep track of the methods used to recruit employees, keeping copies of any advertising undertaken, as well as copies of any correspondence with recruitment agencies or head hunters;
Assist in, or take ownership of, recruitment projects as and when required;
Administrates staff requests and queries relating to their personnel records and updates personnel files. Scanning of documents and save on general staff file;
Assist with pension and medical aid queries from staff;
Assist the Payroll and Benefits Practitioner with maintaining up-to-date Intl.SOS organizational charts;
Assists with new employee orientations and on-boarding;
Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings as required;

Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as required and assigned;

Prerequisites

Tertiary degree, diploma or equivalent with between in HR administration or office administration;
Graduate qualification in Human Resources, OD or I/O psych or business is an advantage
Prior experience with an HRIS database preferred;
Occasionally work long hours to meet deadlines;
Ability to handle pressure;
Ability to associate and deal with other cultures;
